West Hill Grill & Bar Littleton, Colorado Stabbing, Death Obituary: Authorities Carry Out Investigations

A late-night stabbing at West Hill Grill & Bar has left the Littleton community shaken as investigators work to determine what led to the violent confrontation at the popular neighborhood establishment.

According to preliminary information released by the Littleton Police Department, officers and emergency crews responded to reports of a stabbing shortly after 10:30 p.m. following an altercation connected to the restaurant and bar. Witnesses described a chaotic and emotional scene as patrons attempted to flee the area while first responders rushed to assist the injured.

The incident reportedly began after a confrontation escalated inside or near the establishment, which is widely known among residents as a longtime gathering place for food, drinks, and social events. Witness accounts suggest the dispute intensified rapidly, resulting in at least one individual being stabbed during the altercation.

Emergency personnel from South Metro Fire Rescue arrived alongside police officers and secured the scene with crime scene tape while investigators began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. Patrons who had been dining or watching sporting events inside the restaurant described hearing shouting moments before panic spread through the building.

Several witnesses recalled seeing people rush toward exits after someone reportedly yelled that a weapon was involved. One patron said the atmosphere changed “within seconds” from a normal evening gathering into confusion and fear. Another individual at the scene reportedly provided basic first aid to one of the injured victims while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Authorities have not publicly identified the individuals involved, citing the ongoing investigation. However, preliminary reports indicate that at least two people suffered injuries during the incident. One victim was transported to AdventHealth Littleton with injuries described as non-life-threatening, while another person was treated at the scene for minor wounds.

Police have confirmed that a person of interest was detained for questioning, though no formal arrests had been announced as investigators continued reviewing evidence. Detectives are examining whether the altercation involved individuals who knew one another or whether the violence stemmed from a spontaneous dispute.

Investigators are expected to review surveillance footage from inside and outside the establishment as part of the case. Authorities are also asking anyone who witnessed the altercation or recorded video near the area between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to contact investigators.

The incident has deeply unsettled many residents and longtime patrons who describe West Hill Grill & Bar as a familiar and welcoming neighborhood business. Community members have shared messages of concern and support online for both the victims and the restaurant staff, many of whom were reportedly left emotionally shaken by the violence.

Management for the establishment released a brief statement acknowledging the incident and confirming cooperation with law enforcement. The business also announced it would remain temporarily closed while authorities continue their investigation.
